Star Fruit

Unknown variety grown from seed from family member's delicious tree in South FL.

Fast grower but also needy with water and nutrients and dislikes wind.

Can flower and fruit in a pot. Not deer resistant.  

Survived in ground December 2022 freeze with heavy coverage but branch die back on uncovered portions. 

We've had multiple people leave outside during winters, both in pots in and in ground, and covered or covered, during freezes and they have grown back from the roots in spring. 

Beautiful tropical tasting fruit with unique shape that's great fresh, juiced, or as a garnish.
