We're not sure why this variety is called giant. The berries and leaves are not extremely giant. It is a fast grower with the trunk increasing it's diameter about an inch a year in optimal conditions!
Always plant mulberries where there isn’t foot traffic.
Taste like blackberries but better; no pit.
Fruits March through May depending on winter.
Handles full sun to filtered shade.
Deciduous-loses leaves in winter but cold hardy.
Drought tolerant and poor draining soil tolerant.
Fast growing, can fruit after a year.
